Ingredients

  • 4 cups self raising flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sparkling water (using Indigo Soda machine)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  • To a bowl, combine all your ingredients and gently mix together until a sticky dough forms. Make sure it can loosely form into a ball.
  • Cover your dough and place in a warm area to rest for a minimum of 4 hours, or until the dough doubles in size (up to 8 hours).
  • Preheat your oven to 450℉. Place your dutch oven with the lid on so it preheats at the same time.
  • Gently fold your dough and add a bit more self raising flour to form a ball.
  • Place bread on a parchment paper then place inside your dutch oven. Close the lid and bake for 35 minutes, covered.
  • Take your bread out of the oven, uncover the dutch oven and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the top of the bread is golden and crispy.
  • Let cool for 10-15 minutes, cut into slices and enjoy!

Notes

How to store: Place in a bag, removing all the air and store in the fridge for up to 5 days. If it gets hard/crunchy, pop it in the microwave to soften, then in the toaster or oven if you want it to get crispy.
