Ingredients you’ll need to make this strawberry cold foam matcha
- Organic Green Tea Japanese Matcha + Water. I used the matcha from Four O’Clock tea. It’s smooth, organic, and has a delicious earthy flavour.
- Milk. You can use any milk of your choice, I use either oat or almond milk.
- Ice Cubes. I always love using a fun shape to make it feel like I got it at a coffee shop!
- Freeze-Dried Strawberry Powder. You’ll need to this make your healthy strawberry syrup. I love mixing this with water to make a sugar-free syrup/sweetener for this matcha (you can even use this for your coffee!).
- Vegan Heavy Cream. This is what you will mix with the homemade strawberry syrup to create the strawberry cold foam.
- Optional Garnish: chocolate shavings, chocolate syrup, freeze-fried strawberry slices or powder.

Tips on making this strawberry cold foam matcha
- Sift your matcha. Before whisking, make sure to pass it through a small sieve to ensure no large clumps go into your matcha mixture.
- Use a matcha whisk. When mixing the water and matcha powder, I would recommend using a matcha whisk. It will help to eliminate any clumps, create a smooth mixture and produce a very creamy, foamy layer.
- Use an electric frother to make your strawberry syrup. For the smoothest, best texture I would recommend blending the water and freeze-dried strawberry powder with an electric hand-held frother.
